(PEORIA, IL) Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at approximately 3:54 p.m. members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of S. Easton for the unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
Once inside the residence officers located drug equipment and a handgun. The suspect identified as 54-year-old Willie E. Dillard was taken into custody on
a traffic stop prior to the search warrant.
Dillard was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
