(PEORIA, IL) Monday, June 10, 2024, at approximately 2:43 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 500 block of W. Martin Luther King on a report of trouble with a male. Police were also alerted that the male was armed with a handgun.
While en route officers located two adult males fleeing from the above location.
After a brief foot chase police apprehended both males identified as 18-year-old Latrell D. Joiner and 19-year-old Marcus D. Foreman in the 600 block of W. Romeo B. Garrett Avenue.
During a search of the subject’s flight path officers located a loaded handgun.
Joiner was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery, Aggravated Assault, Obstructing Police, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Defaced Firearm, Domestic Battery, and Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card.
Foreman was arrested for Obstructing an Officer.
Both subjects were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
