(PEORIA, IL) Sunday, July 7, 2024, at approximately 3:36 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 800 block of W. Hurlburt on a Shot Spotter alert of 4 rounds fired.
When officers arrived, they observed a vehicle leaving the area where the shots were fired.
Police conducted a stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, an adult male (42 years old) who had an apparent gunshot wound to the buttocks. The male was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police conducted a search for more victims and suspects with negative results.
This incident is under investigation. There is currently no suspect information.
