(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, July 20, 2024, at approximately 7:09 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 1200 block of W. Millman regarding a Shot Spotter alert of 3 rounds fired.
When officers arrived on scene they located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Special Investigations Division (SID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
While on scene officers took a person of interest into custody.
This incident is under investigation.
