(PEORIA, IL) Monday, July 29, 2024, at approximately 12:39 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Main Street on a report of a male who fired a handgun.
When officers arrived, they did not locate any suspects.
While conducting a search of the area officers located an adult male who matched the description of the subject who fired a handgun.
The suspect identified as 35-year-old Christopher S. Hopkins was arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card. The handgun was not located.
Hopkins was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
