(PEORIA, IL) Monday, August 26, 2024, at approximately 1:17 p.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 700 block of E. Frye on a Shot Spotter alert of 22 rounds fired, followed by a second Shot Spotter alert of 6 rounds fired in the 2100 block of N. Wisconsin Avenue.
When officers arrived at the intersection of W. Frye and N. Wisconsin they located an adult male with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a
local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), Special Investigations Division (SID), Neighborhood Services Unit (NSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
This incident is under investigation. There is currently no suspect information.
