Career influence or inspiration: Mr. Hamilton’s major influences include marketing and record executive Steve Stoute, writer, professor and activist Marc LaMont Hill, actor and TV personality Terrence J, and Brandon Alexander Williams, a spoken word artist who is a fellow Peoria High School and SIU graduate.

Inspirational quote: “Don’t hate on nobody, don’t wait on nobody. I graduated high school with a 1.8 GPA. Fast forward and I went on to earn my master’s degree before many of the students that graduated ahead of me in high school. I gave the commencement speech for Illinois Central College’s graduating class in 2022. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish! Keep your head down and grind it out. Focus + consistency exponentially increases your chances for success. Don’t wait for approval to get started on what you want to do. Figure out what’s at your disposal, put a plan together and make it happen!”
