Occupation: Bianca Brown is a school counselor at Annie Jo Gordon Community Learning Center. Her work promotes the social and emotional well-being of students at the K-8 school, including how to deal with emotional, social or academic challenges. She advises students on how to prepare for career and/or college and offers individual and small-group counseling.
Community Involvement: Ms. Brown is vice president and program chairperson of Peoria’s alumni chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc., a member of the Elizabeth Lindsay Davis chapter of National Association of Colored Women (NACW), and the Esther Circle, a mentoring program for girls at St. Paul Baptist Church.
