Occupation: Kelvin Parker worked his way up from unloading delivery trucks to store team associate and community outreach representative at Walmart. His current position takes advantage of his years of volunteer work. As community outreach representative, he helps non-profit organizations secure Walmart grants for their activities. He also helps organize Walmart employees to volunteer at community events and interviews and trains new employees.


Community Involvement: A veteran rapper and party promoter, Mr. Parker has hosted the annual River City Soul Fest five years in a row.  He has been a regular speaker for mentoring  programs and other youth events since he began rapping and organizing talent shows more than 30 years ago.


Education: Graduate, Manual High School


Three things he’s passionate about: “My city, my family and mentoring young men to be the best they can be.”


Three favorite hobbies: Hosting events, promoting events and spending time with family and friends.


Career Influence or inspiration: Rita Ali, Garry Moore, Percy Baker Jr., and Howard Nathan Jr. inspired him to be active in the community. Rappers Louis “Rumpie” Milton and Mike Alexander inspired him to rap.
