DERRICK BOOTH, Ed.D.

Executive Director of Community Services, Trillium Place-Carle Health

 

Occupation: Mr. Booth oversees all aspects of community services for Trillium Place, an affiliate of Carle Health, which offers comprehensive addiction and mental health services for individuals and families. As executive director of community services, his duties include providing strategic direction, policy administration and fiscal oversight while ensuring high-quality, cost-effective services.

 

Community Involvement: Mr. Booth’s history of community involvement goes back to his days as a counselor and head basketball coach at Manual High School. He left Manual to serve as Peoria Public Schools’ first director of social and emotional learning, where he established the Wraparound Center, a one-stop shop for residents’ basic needs, therapeutic services and legal help. He serves on the boards of directors of Center for Prevention of Abuse and Peoria Riverfront Museum. He is on the Local Advisory Committee for Local Initiatives Support Corp. (LISC) and a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.

 

Education: Bachelor of science, criminal justice, Illinois State University; master of arts, counseling, Bradley University (with a 4.0 GPA); doctorate of higher education administration, Bradley University
