Occupation: As assistant city manager of the City of Peoria, Kimberly Richardson is responsible for managing several assigned departments, such as economic development, information services, and the emergency communications center, and implementing city-wide strategic initiatives and policies. Her duties involve coordinating daily interdepartmental activities and analyzing and proposing solutions to operational procedures and problems. She also deals with staffing and budget issues, assists the city manager and acts as city manager in his absence.  


Community Involvement: Ms. Richardson is board president of the League of Women in Government and treasurer of the Illinois City/County Management Association. She is a former president of the Illinois Legacy Project and Illinois Association of Municipal Management Assistants. She has also served on the board of the Chicago chapter of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators and volunteered for food banks and mentorship programs.  


Education: Bachelor of arts, political science, master of public administration, Northern Illinois University
