(PEORIA, IL) On Friday, February 20, 2026, at approximately 8:35 a.m., officers with the Peoria Police Department were dispatched to the 3000 block of N. Knoxville Avenue (Marathon Gas Station) in reference to a reported stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate a victim at the scene. Through the course of the preliminary investigation, officers determined that three adult males were involved in a physical altercation outside the business. During the incident, one of the individuals produced a knife and stabbed another male before fleeing the area on foot.
Approximately three hours after the reported incident, a 39-year-old male victim arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle. He was treated for two non-life-threatening stab wounds to the abdomen.
At this time, no suspect information is available. The investigation is ongoing.
