Patrick Urich, City Manager of the City of Peoria

As the City Manager, Mr. Urich is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the City of Peoria, including the $169 million budget, 14 departments, and approximately 660 full-time and part-time employees; and instilling the value of excellence in public service within the organization.

Mr. Urich started his public administration career in 1993 in Lake County, ending his career there as Assistant County Administrator responsible for budget, legislative affairs and criminal justice projects. Mr. Urich became Peoria County Administrator on January 1, 2001, serving more than 10 years. On April 13, 2011, Mr. Urich became the 18th City Manager for the City of Peoria.

Mr. Urich holds a Bachelor's Degree in political science from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master's Degree in public administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Mr. Urich was the first County Administrator to serve as President of the Illinois City/County Management Association and has previously served as President of the National Association of County Administrators. His present professional affiliations include the International City/County Management Association, the Illinois City/County Management Association and the American Society for Public Administration.
