Service will be interrupted for online payments for stormwater and for users of the City’s permitting, licensing, and planning self-service website
April 9, 2024 (PEORIA, IL) Due to system upgrades, users of the city of Peoria website will see interruptions in service if paying for their stormwater bill online or if applying for or paying invoices through the City of Peoria permitting, licensing, and planning self-service website. Both websites will be down from April 12, 2024, at 12:01 am and resume on April 16, 2024.
City of Peoria permitting, licensing, and planning self-service website
The City of Peoria will be upgrading its Permitting, Licensing, and Planning self-service website from April 12, 2024, at 12:01 am, through April 16, 2024. The city will be unable to process any online payments, updates, or requests for permitting, licensing, or planning during this time. Anyone needing those services can still come to the Development Center, 419 Fulton Street, Room 203 during regular business hours or email communitydevelopment@peoriagov.org for payment, please visit the Treasury office, Room 100.
Upgrades will include added security and a new web address. The upgrade will implement a new login procedure which may require users to re-register their email associated with their accounts. Users will automatically be redirected to the new location when using the old website address. Once you have accessed the new location, you can replace your bookmark. The site will operate as it has, only the login process will have changed.

Stormwater Utility Billing
The City’s Stormwater Online Payment Portal will also be out of service from April 12, 2024 – April 16, 2024, for upgrades to design that will improve ease of use.
The current Stormwater Utility Billing site will stop taking online payments at 12:01 am on April 12, 2024. Online payments will resume on the new site on April 16, 2024.
While the system is closed, payments may be made in person at the Treasurer’s Office, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Please note:
- The City will not be able to process credit card payments during this time frame.
- When making in-person payments, the City will only be able to accept cash, check, or money orders, and a handwritten receipt will be provided.
- During this upgrade, the City will not have access to your online account information. Please bring the accompanying paperwork with you.
- Residents may make payments in person or by using the drop box in City Hall’s Fulton Street entrance (no cash in the drop box, please),
- In-person payments will be processed by April 18, 2024.
When the new stormwater billing page is live, users will keep their current username and password. To ensure that all your information is correct, you will then need to register your Stormwater Billing account (on your bill) with your login information, as well as reconfigure any autopay, or stored payment information. Online instructions will be available.
