Planning & Zoning Commission

Overview

The Planning and Zoning Commission holds public hearings to report findings and recommendations to the City Council on requests related to land use and development. Common types of request heard by the commission includes changes to the Zoning, Land Development or Subdivision ordinance (Text Amendment or Rezoning), proposals to establish or alter special uses, proposals to establish or alter official development plans (ie University or Medical Campus),  proposals for subdivisions of land, proposals to annex property into the city limits.
