Committee Overview

The East Village Growth Cell TIF Advisory body to the City Council, was formed through a charter as allowed by Illinois State statute on matters pertaining to the East Village Growth Cell (EVGC) TIF District.  The committee was formed to facilitate economic development in the EVGC through facilitating growth and development, promoting consistent land uses, helping to provide needed services, promoting job creation, increasing property tax base, promoting redevelopment opportunities, and reviewing requests for financial assistance from sources available in the growth cell.
