Roof Program
The city of Peoria has conducted the 2026 Roof Program Lottery, which helps low-income homeowners citywide with needed roof repairs.
2026 City of Peoria Roof Program Lottery Order List
Households are selected through a digital lottery system. The lottery is made public, but applicants do not need to watch the lottery to be selected to receive a new roof. There is a limit of one entry per household, but there is no limit to the total number of households that may enter the lottery. Applying to the Roof Lottery does not guarantee assistance.
Program Requirements
- Must be at or below the income limits by household size
- Must own the home for at least one year prior to October 1, 2025 (contract for deed is not eligible)
- Must be the owner’s primary residence (rental properties are not eligible)
- Must have current homeowners' insurance
- Must be up to date on any mortgages on the property
- Must not have any other liens against the property other than mortgages
- Must be current on property taxes
- Cannot owe any fees or fines to the City of Peoria
- Cannot have any active code violations or code cases
- Must provide accurate income information for all members of the household
- Cannot have received assistance through city rehabilitation programs in the last five years

Roof Lottery Information
The 2026 Roof Program lottery was held online via GoToMeeting on Tuesday, October 7th at 10:00 AM.
City staff will contact all applications after the drawing. The list of selected applicants, including the waitlist, is available here. If any households are not eligible, the next household on the list will be contacted.
