Artist Statement
Peoria is full of the most beautiful gardens! This mixed media piece (hand drawing and digital art combo) celebrates the beauty of Peoria’s gardens and the people who care for them. I can see this piece flying as the banner beautifully. All you need to do is split it down the center and put each half on one banner. This is a mixed media piece. It started life as a hand-drawn garden using gel pen, pencil, ball point pen and marker. It was then photographed and digitally enhanced to create the end result.
Biography
Michele is a photographer and digital artist that takes pictures in Central Illinois, turning them into fanciful, beautiful works of art. She has been a photographer for over 40 years. Her favorite things to photograph are flowers, landscapes and abstracts. A resident of Peoria Illinois for 30 years, she sells her art in a couple fairs each year, on her website, www.micheleguzmanart.com, and at Artful Journey Gallery in Peoria, Illinois.
